Brainomix Announces New Partnership with Stryker Neurovascular to Expand Access to Life-Saving Stroke Treatments

Brainomix and Stryker today announced a new partnership that will represent a transformative solution for stroke networks across EMEA, enabling broader utilization of stroke imaging AI tools to help more patients gain access to life-saving treatments.

Stroke is the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide, and occurs when blood supply to the brain is obstructed, leaving brain cells to die. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential if the disabling effects of stroke are to be minimized, with each minute representing a loss of 1.9 million neurons.

Brainomix’s e-Stroke is an AI-powered software platform that supports physicians across a stroke network by providing real-time interpretation of brain scans to help guide treatment and transfer decisions for stroke patients, allowing more patients to get the right treatment, in the right place, at the right time – where Stryker fits in, offering a full portfolio of stroke products designed to remove blood clots in the brain quickly and efficiently, through a procedure called mechanical thrombectomy.

“We are pleased to hear about this new partnership between Brainomix and Stryker – whose portfolio represents a comprehensive stroke solution, and for whom it is only logical to now build a partnership with Brainomix as a way of optimizing stroke diagnostics to improve stroke care across the region,” said Dr. Markus Mӧhlenbruch, Interventional Neuroradiologist at Heidelberg University Hospital.

His colleague at Heidelberg, Dr Christian Herweh, also commented: “We have been using the Brainomix e-Stroke platform as part of our stroke service for many years, and have been impressed with its capability to quickly generate advanced results from even simple CT scans – outputs that can help physicians make more confident decisions about how best to treat stroke patients.”

Dr. Michalis Papadakis, CEO and Co-Founder of Brainomix, noted: “Partnerships have long played a key role for us at Brainomix, as a way of broadening our reach and expanding the solutions we can provide to hospitals. Together with Stryker we will be able to offer an end-to-end solution for hospitals, covering both imaging and treatment. We look forward to joining forces with Stryker Neurovascular, with whom we share a mutual commitment to improving stroke care by expanding patient access to life-saving treatments.”
