Recently, Brainomix 360 went live across the Eskisehir Osmangazi University Hospital (EOUH), in Eskisehir, Türkiye. The team at EOUH is hopeful, and has already seen, improvements in the patient selection for treatment, ultimately enhancing the quality of stroke care provided.
Large CORE & patient selection
Dr Atilla Özcan Özdemir, Director of Interventional Neurology and Neurocritical Care Programme, and Chief of Neurology, at EOUH, highlights the advancements in patient care brought about by the Large CORE trials and the installation of Brainomix - "With the publication of the Large CORE trials, we now have more objective tools to broaden patient eligibility for endovascular treatment, rather than excluding them. We are pleased to be working with Brainomix, which has significantly simplified the process of selecting patients for this treatment. Additionally, Brainomix has streamlined pre-hospital organization, making the workflow much more efficient."
Population coverage
The deployment of Brainomix 360 Stroke at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Hospital – which covers a population of more than 1 million people, with 1,500 acute stroke patients annually – marks an additional entry into the Turkish market.
A note from Riaz Rahman, Commercial Director EMEA
“With more than 200,000 new strokes per year at a national level, access to interventional care for stroke sufferers in Türkiye, as it stands today, remains suboptimal. By collaborating with leading clinicians and innovators such as Dr Atilla Özcan Özdemir and his team, we hope to track the direct impact to treatment rates as patients are identified with greater speed, efficiency and clinical action planning. This means more patient lives will be saved.
We are delighted to welcome Eskisehir Osmangazi University Hospital to our growing list of hospital sites in Türkiye which signifies the start of a new wave of collaborations across the country” Riaz Rahman, Commercial Director EMEA at Brainomix.
