This prospective observational study, published in The Lancet Digital Health (2025), analyzed 452,952 stroke patients across all 107 NHS hospitals in England from 2019–2023, using the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) registry. It evaluated Brainomix 360 Stroke implementation in 26 hospitals (6 comprehensive stroke centres, 20 primary stroke centres), showing EVT rates doubled from 2.3% to 4.6% post-implementation, a 100% relative increase. Versus 62.5% at non-evaluation sites (interaction OR 1.24, 95% CI 1.08–1.43; p=0.0026). Patient-level analysis of 71,017 ischaemic strokes confirmed AI use raised EVT likelihood (OR 1.57, 95% CI 1.33–1.86; p<0.0001).

The paper unpacks how Brainomix 360 Stroke helped teams identify more eligible large vessel occlusions (LVO's), streamline transfers, and ultimately increase the odds of individual patients receiving endovascular thrombectomy.
